1. About MegDB.Com — Read-Only Discovery Platform
MegDB.Com is a streaming discovery platform. We help users find where to watch movies and TV shows legally on licensed streaming services. We do NOT:
- Host, store, cache, stream or transmit any video, audio or subtitle files
- Distribute or reproduce any copyrighted motion pictures, TV programmes or other media
- Provide download links for any copyrighted content
- Link to piracy, torrent or unauthorised streaming sites
We display only:
- Movie and TV metadata (titles, descriptions, ratings, release dates) provided by TMDb API
- Promotional images (posters, backdrops) as supplied by TMDb under TMDb's licensing
- Information about which legitimate licensed streaming services carry specific titles
All media content is delivered exclusively by licensed streaming services (Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, etc.) when users click their respective links.
2. DMCA Safe Harbor — 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)
MegDB.Com qualifies for safe harbor protection under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c) because we:
- Do not have actual knowledge of infringing material, or act expeditiously to remove it upon notification
- Do not receive a direct financial benefit attributable to infringing activity
- Have adopted and reasonably implement a repeat infringer termination policy
- Accommodate and do not interfere with standard technical copyright protection measures
Because we do not host user-uploaded content or copyrighted media, a formal DMCA takedown is unlikely to apply in most cases. If you believe specific content displayed on MegDB.Com infringes your copyright, please read the procedure below.
3. Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice
To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notification must include all six of the following elements. Incomplete notices will not be acted upon.

Signature
A physical or electronic signature of a person authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
Element 2 of 6
Identification of Copyrighted Work
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
Element 3 of 6
Identification of Infringing Material
Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit MegDB.Com to locate it. Please provide the specific URL(s) on megdb.com where the allegedly infringing content appears.

Contact Information
Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
Element 5 of 6
Good Faith Statement
A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
Element 6 of 6
Accuracy Statement
A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Important:Submitting a materially false DMCA notice may subject you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including damages, attorney's fees and costs. If you are uncertain whether content infringes your rights, consult a qualified attorney before filing.
4. Where to Send DMCA Notices
Submit DMCA takedown notices through our Contact page at megdb.com/contact with the subject line: “DMCA Takedown Notice”.
We will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days.
Note: Notifications submitted by methods other than through the Contact page may not receive timely attention.
5. Our Response to Valid Notices
Upon receipt of a valid and complete DMCA notice, MegDB.Com will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
- Review the notice for compliance with all six required elements
- If valid, remove or disable access to the identified content expeditiously
- Notify the affected party (if any) of the removal
- Document the action taken for our records
We will not act on notices that are incomplete, obviously fraudulent or manifestly without merit.
6. DMCA Counter-Notification Procedure
If content was removed or disabled in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3).
A valid counter-notification must contain all five elements:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal (specific URL)
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your full name, address and telephone number
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, MegDB.Com will:
- Forward a copy to the original complainant
- Restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant notifies us of a filed court action to restrain the activity
7. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(1)(A), MegDB.Com has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the access of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers. A user who receives three or more valid DMCA notices may have their access to the Service suspended or permanently terminated at MegDB.Com's discretion.
8. False Notices — Liability Under § 512(f)
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing (in a takedown notice) or that material was removed by mistake (in a counter-notification) may be held liable for any resulting damages, including costs and attorney's fees.
9. TMDb Content
Images, descriptions and metadata shown on MegDB.Com are provided through the TMDb API. For copyright concerns about TMDb's database content, please also contact TMDb directly at themoviedb.org/talk. MegDB.Com is not a licensor or reseller of TMDb content; we display it pursuant to the TMDb API License Agreement.
10. Registered DMCA Agent
MegDB.Com's designated agent for receipt of notifications of claimed infringement can be reached via the Contact page at megdb.com/contact (subject line: “DMCA Takedown Notice”).
We intend to register our designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office Directory of Service Provider Agents in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2).
